Contrary to popular belief, thinking outside the box is not what a real artist does. Instead we want to make a box that's fun to play around in, one that allows us to make mistakes, and frees us up to express ourselves. This workshop is designed to walk students through the process of impression, expression and reflection aka: feel, do, and think. We will answer the questions: How can I make a mess and not mud? How do I correct my mistakes as I go, so by the end it looks like I didn't make any? Join me for this workshop where we learn to embrace the chaos.

Supplies will be included for this course. Our primary medium will be cattle markers or livestock markers. Additionally we will use ink applied with a bamboo brush as a finishing flourish to lock in and control our gestural foundation.

Class size is limited to 12 students.
