In this fun, approachable class we will cover the core principles of oil painting while focusing on several techniques and vocabulary such as underpainting, alla prima, impasto, and glazing. Our goal for this class will be to develop a relationship with oils through still life rather than perfect realism.

Students will have all materials needed at the studio & ready for them to use. View the starter supply list to see what is provided in these kits. These are for studio use only, and aside from their completed paintings, students will not be bringing these supplies home.

Class size is limited to 12 students.

Cancellations must be emailed to atwoodatelier@gmail.com at least 1 week prior to the first session to receive full credit (valid for 12 months) for a future class OR a refund to the credit card used minus a 15% fee.
