Saturday, May 2nd, 9:30am - 4:30pm (w/ 1 hr lunch break)
This one-day workshop is designed for people with some familiarity with watercolor, and looking for an approach to making lifelike, realistic paintings. Working from a live model, and using a clear step-by-step approach, we will cover laying out the linear drawing, capturing a likeness, values as they are informed by light and form, edge manipulation, color as it is influenced by form, and basic structural anatomy. Demonstrations and individualized feedback will guide students through the process of drawing and then painting the live model from start to finish.
Class size is limited to 12 students.
