Hands and feet can be some of the trickiest body parts for artists–and with more than 2 dozen bones and muscles in each one, it’s no wonder! Yet these complex appendages can say a lot, and gaining confidence depicting them can add greatly to your portraits and figures. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the anatomy of the hands and feet, how to simplify and depict their structures, and how to use them to create gesture and movement in your work. We’ll practice using photos and plaster casts plus spend time drawing from a live model.
