Pen and Ink Workshop (Workout)

The “Basic” supplies are for anybody who wants to try quill-pen sketching.

The “Optional” category opens up quite a bit more options.

For those wishing to experiment, try drawing on different types of surfaces. As an example of an optional surface I will share my method for preparing my pages: I’ve been fond of drawing on mixed media paper that I’ve covered with latex house paint. I like how the ink reacts to the surface so much I’m willing to roll the dice with non-archival (probably) materials. However, you are invited to follow your instincts as to how DIY or how expensive you want to go with your “Optional” supplies.
